There’s always some new drink trend on the go (not that we’re complaining) but sometimes they are a little too complicated, require a lot of expensive or hard to find ingredients or let’s face it, are sometimes a little too wanky. However we can wholeheartedly back (by extensive research and testing) that we are officially in LOVE with the Frosé movement. Say whaaaat? A Frosé is essentially a frozen rosé. That’s right some cocktail mixer person came up with the idea to bastardise wine into a fruity frozen cocktail and we’re on board!
There’s many variations to a theme, however they obviously involve ice and rosé, then mix with strawberries, sugar syrup and if you want to get extra boozy then you can add Vodka! Naturally, we added Vodka. Here’s a recipe we’ve been enjoying, supplied by Dan Murphy’s.
Ingredients
- 90mL Rosé
- 30mL Vodka
- 15mL Sugar syrup
- 1 Strawberry
- 3 cups of ice
Method
- Add all ingredients to an electric blender cup with 3 cups of ice and blend on high until smooth.
- Pour into a large wine, cocktail or tumbler glass.
- Garnish with a slice of strawberry, we also used some of those Raffaello white chocolate coconut balls (because we can).
- Add more ice for thicker texture.
Bottoms Up!
