Affordable Cool Weather Glamping Spots

For many of us, the idea of camping in the cooler months through winter and spring seems a little cray. With temperatures in some parts of Australia dropping to below zero during the cooler months, the last thing that appeals to even the most enthusiastic camper is to set up a tent in frosty temperatures and wake up in the middle of the night shaking in our little thermal booties. Luckily you don’t have to, if you take things up a degree or ten and become a fully-fledged glamper! Glamping (glam camping) is the perfect for ‘campophobs’ and is the new ‘it’ travel trend sweeping the globe for those who like a their camping sojourn to be a little bit more bubbles and stars, rather than pit toilets and bugs.

The concept marries the idea that one can combine camping and luxury together with no need to set up a tent, be cold or walk long distances to use the bathroom. That’s right, glamping allows you to experience the outdoors with all of your usual indoor comforts and zero of the negatives that come with camping in cooler months. And let’s face it, by the time you pay for all your camping stuff and ‘spend lots of money to live like a homeless person’ you could have just arrived with a small bag to glamp like a king!

Since the boom of this trend more and more beautiful places around Australia have started hosting their own glamping sites. So, we picked our fave six that will keep you toasty warm, without blowing a hole in your budget!
